Start of a long tradition
Heinrich Tschopp laid the foundation stone of today's RERO AG in the middle of the town of Waldenburg. He worked exclusively for the watch industry. -
First successes
The location was moved a few hundred meters and a new building was erected. Even today, RERO still manufactures at this location. -
RERO in the 20s
The company thrived and was able to expand. -
First generational change
The sons of Heinrich Tschopp took over the management of RERO. The name RERO was created from the first two letters of their first names - Reinhold and Robert. -
The son takes over
The son of Reinhold - who was also called Reinhold - took over the management of the company in the third generation. -
Growth needs space
RERO was generously expanded. The processes of anodizing and electropolishing were added to the range and still form important pillars in RERO's product range today. -
Close to the customer
Customer proximity was already part of the strategy at that time. RERO still maintains its own fleet of trucks today to serve its customers even better. -
Another upgrade
The strategy pays off! The building was significantly expanded once again. -
Handover
The two brothers Reinhold and Rolf Tschopp take over the management of RERO as the fourth generation. -
Karl Haas & CO AG
Acquisition of the company Karl Haas in Reinach. Unfortunately, the company Karl Haas had to file for insolvency in 2003. -
ISO 9001
RERO has its management system certified and receives the ISO 9001 certificate. -
A partnership
With the then Multi-Contact, RERO founded a joint venture in Schliengen, Germany: the Multi-Veredelung GmbH. -
Part of the solution
Aware that we only have one planet, the processes are revised and certified according to ISO 14001. Since then, sustainability and resource awareness have been part of the company's philosophy. -
Two cousins take over
With the two cousins Thomas and Adrian Tschopp, the fifth generation takes over the helm. A separate line is created for medical technology. -
Standing still is a step backwards
The machine park is expanded and modernized with two new fully automatic machines. An additional circulating water system is installed to further reduce the consumption of the valuable resource water. -
New appearance
The expanded company building was occupied. RERO shines in new splendor! -
Medical technology is gaining importance
The MedTech line was certified according to ISO 13485 to create more safety in the processing of MedTech parts.
